Virginia Trip | A Family Visit and Travelogue

Last year Mikey and I visited our families in Virginia. It was great seeing my cute little niece and meeting my new nephew. Here's a recap of some of our adventures in old town Alexandria and a walk to the park with my sister and her kiddos.

Virginia is one big forest. When driving on the freeway down to North Carolina the scenery didn't change for hours. Forest on the left, forest on the right. This was so foreign to me being from California where the landscape changes from rolling hills, ocean, redwoods, and snow capped mountains all within a few hours of each other.

Call me crazy, but I love the humidity on the east coast. the moisture in the air feels so good to me! Even when it's crazy hot. Maybe I would be singing a different tune if I had curly hair...

We had so much fun with these little munchkins. Siena had a little melt down at the end of the day, but hey, life's hard when you're 2. At least there was a Chipotle nearby to drown out her toddler woes.
